iStill's Services To Success!
Introduction
We are proud to announce that iStill is taking another huge step forward! Having improved on distilling technology for over a decade, we are now completely reorganizing and upgrading our services. In the understanding that a tool is only as good as the hands that wield it, let us introduce you to our new "Services-to-Success".
Goal
The goal of "Services-to-Success"? To turn you into a better distiller, that uses your distillery and iStill optimally in order to make better spirits in the most efficient and successful manner possible.
The way in which we organize the services is that you are in control. You decide what services you want or need, and you can order accordingly, depending on where you see yourself improving the most.
Types of Services
We distinguish four service levels, each higher level building on the previous lower or base level:
- Onboarding Services;
- Educational Services;
- Support Services;
- Consultancy Services.
Onboarding Services
It starts with our Onboarding Services. This is where we get to know you and you get to know us. Obligatory for all iStill customers, if they want to use our educational, support, and/or consultative services later on.
For new iStill customers the onboarding consists of the following services:
- Consultation;
- Purchase Agreement & Registration;
- Five Year Total Warranty.
We only sell to customers where we can make a valuable contribution. We sell based on what we learn from you. Therefore, iStill wants to get to know you. That's where the Consultation is for: it makes sure that you get advise on what to purchase and why. After Consultation, we draw up your Purchase Agreement. It includes our research into the costs of crating, transport, and transport insurance. In our Purchase Agreement you get the choice for an additional Five Year Total Warranty instead of the normal two year deal.
The first Consultation if free. The Purchase Agreement & Registration Fee is EUR 750,-. This fee will be reimbursed on your total order amount, so it is basically an advance-payment to cover our costs and those of our transport partners. The Five Year Warranty adds 10% to the total original order value.
For second-hand iStill customers, meaning distillers that purchased an iStill from another distillery, the Onboarding Services can consist of:
- Introduction & Registration;
- Mid Life Update;
- Five Year Total Warranty.
Our relationship starts with a proper introduction and registration. We want to get to know you and your distillery. We want you to get to know us. The Introduction & Registration Services are obligatory for any distiller that owns a second-hand iStill, if he wants to get access to any of the follow-up services, like education, support, or consultancy. It costs EUR 750,- once.
We can also perform a Mid Life Update on your second-hand iStill, where we come by to test and update the machine, bringing it up to the newest standards via new software, seals, oil, and heaters. We bring your iStill back to new condition at your location. Indicatively, the costs are EUR 15.000,- for an iStill 100 to EUR 55.000,- for an iStill 5000 Mid Life Update.
The MLU is a precondition for the second-hand iStill owner to add an additional Five Year Total Warranty to the unit. We take 10% of the new value as costs for this service.
Educational Services
We offer two educations, one following the other:
- Online Course;
- Hands-on Course.
The online course teaches you the theory of distillation, the hands-on course trains you in how to use a still to develop recipes and spirits. Together they turn you into a distiller capable of opening and maintaining a successful distillery. A distiller that talks the talk AND walks the walk! The online course comes first and precedes the hands-on course.
The Online Course and its certification costs EUR 750,-. The Hands-on Course is EUR 3.000,-. If you successfully completed the Online Course and Hands-on Course you can apply for membership of the iStill Facebook Group. It is where our students and customers meet & mingle.
In order for a distiller to use our Educational Services, he needs to have registered for our Onboarding Services. The Educational Services are a prerequisite for the next service level: our Support Services.
Support Services
We offer five kinds of Support services. The first one is obligatory, the other four are elective; you purchase what you need or desire:
- Connectivity and Data Logging Services;
- Start-up Support;
- Tech Support Ticket;
- Run Support Ticket;
- iStill Standard Recipes.
The Connectivity and Data Logging Services connect your iStill to the internet, while run data is also logged. The connectivity and data history allows us to look at your iStill and/or recipe and give give you support. It allows you to connect your iStill to the internet in a safe way, so that you can remotely monitor and manage it, and so that we can connect to it, where and when needed. This service is therefore mandatory if you want any of our other Support Services. The costs of this service is EUR 750,- per year.
With Start-up Support we look over your shoulder, while you assemble your still or do a first run. It involves a day of one of our Support Staff to work with you on you setting up your still and performing that first run. It helps at making you a more successful distiller, with already a supervised run under your belt. This service costs EUR 1.500,-.
Tech Support is where you can buy an hour of support from our Support Staff. Tech Support helps you answer one of your technical questions. Run Support is where you can buy an hour of support from Odin. Run Support focusses on answering a question related to the run you want to perform. A Tech Support ticket costs EUR 250,-, a Run Support ticket costs EUR 750,-.
Last, but not least, you can now purchase one of iStill's Standard Recipes. For rum, vodka, brandy, gin, or gin. Double distilled, 1.5x, or 1.0x. Or you purchase settings for mashing or fermenting of a specific mash or wash. If you want us to activate one of our standard and proven recipes, please let us know, so that we can upgrade your software to incorporate these run settings. A recipe costs EUR 1.500,-.
For a distiller to use the Support Services, he needs to have used our Educational Services. And of course the Connectivity and Data Logging Services are also needed. Without the distiller being properly educated, how can we communicate? And without the still being available online, with its run data approachable, how can we be of assistance to you? Education not only makes you a better distiller, it also trains you in speaking the same advanced distillation language that we use, which is a prerogative for us being able to communicate. The same holds true for connectivity and data logging: it provides an intrinsic value of its own, as it makes remote monitoring and management of your iStill possible, AND it allows us to better analyse the questions you might have ... and communicate back the solution in an understandable manner.
Consultancy Services
For Consultancy Services, a distiller needs to have done the Onboarding Services, the Educational Services, and at least the Connectivity and Data Logging Services. We can only consult with you if you are well-educated, when we all speak the same technical language, and when we can connect to you and your distillery.
We distinguish the following services:
- Recipe Development;
- Odin's Opinion;
- Coaching for Success.
The above program is elective: you decide if and what Services you need. Recipe Development is where we help you create an award winning spirit. Odin's Opinion grands you an hour of access to Odin directly. Odin is not only iStills inventor and owner, he also helped out over 1000 distillers starting up. His opinion and advise is considered industry-leading. Finally, you can present the iStill Team with a start-up challenge where you want our input and coaching on a continued basis, for one year: Coaching for Success! Coaching for Success is a reverse elective program: based on your case, Odin will select a maximum of two coaching trajectories per annum.
iStill has developed over 500 award winning recipes. We are the biggest and most successful recipe developers in the industry. The associated costs are EUR 15.000,-, if you want an amazing and award winning spirit, designed by us. Odin's Opinion costs EUR 1.500,-. Coaching for Success starts at EUR 50.000,-. Remember, Odin only does two a year, so you need to convince him to come onboard!
