It’s been a year since we bragged about our awards, so here’s the ones we’ve won so far this year.
The golds were especially precious since fewer than 1/3 of entries get a medal in those competitions, plus the rye picked up the trophy for best spirit from Estonia in the competition :)
iStill’s Burst Protocol has a big part to play with our vodka. Producing our own organic grain spirit limits our use of nutrition, so maximising yeast health is vital to a clean fermentation. As we’re after the character of the base grain, we do not filter, since the still’s precise control results in a product that does not need to be ‘corrected’ at the end for unwanted taste or odour.
I don’t know if our gin is one Odin might like; it’s a gin meets aquavit hybrid. I’d be happy to send over a bottle if he fancies trying.
