How much yeast do you use?

3 November 2013
Here's the outcome of the poll: 1. 36% use between 1.5 and 2.5 grams of yeast per liter of wash; 2. 25% use less than 0.5 grams; 3. 21% use between 0.5 and 1 gram; 4. 11% use more than 2.5 grams of yeast per liter of wash; 5. 7% use between 1.0 and 1.5 grams. The outcomes aren't really easy to interpret, I am affraid, other than there is a lot of variance in yeast dosage.

To me it depends on the wash, a rum wash is almost overloaded with yeast, a BW less and a regular even more less

It depends, for a sugar wash i use 2.7 grams / liter But for beer i use mostly 1.2 gram / liter, depending on the gravity.
