The column can take more power easily, right? Yes, it can. So that's why, from now onwards, all iStills 100 NextGen come with that additional bigger (longer) and more powerful heating element. 4.5 kW instead of 3.5 kW. For an increase in performance and distilling speed (up to 35%). It gives you the option to choose what element (and power and voltage and amperage) is the best for your distilling operation. The 3.5 kW is great for when you use EU-household electric power. The 4.5 kW is great if you have at least 20 amps, in most countries that's (in combination with 200/208/220/230/240 volts) already a light industrial power supply). Here's a picture of both elements.
