When I started iStill some four years ago, my goal was to help Craft Distillers by delivering high-tech distillation equipment, designed to make distilling easier. Looking back, and seeing where we are now, I think it is safe to say that we delivered on that intention. iStill - Distilling made easy - is now an established business partner for many Craft Distillers all around the world. Even with all the successes we celebrated, over the last year, a feeling of unease grew in me. Analyzing that feeling made me realize that I actually felt that we should, could, and would have to do an even better job. Both in terms of innovations and in terms of production. I simply believe that we can make better stills, fermenters, mashers and pumps, and that we can revolutionize Craft Distilling once more. For that innovation to take place, I needed to change the way we are organized. And that is what I have been working on, together with my team, over the last 3 ½ months. Instead of producing at two locations, instead of members of the development teams living in three different countries, we have set-up a new and centralized iStill Factory near Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where our development and production teams now work together efficiently at realizing our goals: making even more innovative products at an affordable price point.

Taking this step immediately paid off. Over the last few months we have seen a boost in creativity as well as in production efficiency.

Production wise we can now manufacture, assemble, test and dispatch four stills (or mashers or fermenters) up to 3000 liters per unit at the same time. Important, especially with the new big orders that are coming in. Innovation wise … well the things we come up with and at the rate that we do … it is simply amazing! And that’s maybe the most important reason why I wanted to write this message. Over the coming weeks we will release new and potentially industry changing innovations every two to three days.
